We stayed in an executive suite for two nights, first night of our stay, we looked at the size of room we had and it seemed smaller than we thought it would of been especially for the price, as we had to book through booking.com as when we rang the hotel direct we were told there was no executive’s suites available yet they were available on booking.com, so we went ahead and booked it, fast forward my husband speaks to manager and after only 5 minutes of speaking with him, which we found strange like he knew it just wasn’t what we had paid for, anyway he offered us a choice of executive suites we would be able to move to for the final nights stay at 11am the next day, I presumed when others had checked out! also he added breakfast on to our stay for the two nights which was fabulous of him. The manager and staff were great only downside the food at breakfast time were just a let down the first day the sausage came out burnt and the fried egg was rock hard and more or less the same the second day, defo rate the hotel would stay again but not both with the breakfast

A little deceiving from the outside as it looks a little run down, but only closer do you realise it’s a listed building! Very clean and you can see they have held onto a lot of original features of the building including the lift! The room was plush and big, bed so comfy I didn’t want to leave it. Plush carpets. The staff were super helpful and friendly - including one who turned out to be a mixologist and created me my very own cocktail! Sorry I didnt catch your name but you were fab!

The check-in process was smooth and there is a free car-park directly opposite to the hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and well-equipped. I liked the tea and coffee selection and the biscuits were a nice touch. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. The bathroom was the biggest bathroom I have ever seen and there was a nice selection of toiletries. There was a good selection of hot food at breakfast and the service was fast and efficient.

Claire

The hotel was lovely, we were on the ground floor which is great for me as I have walking difficulties, the room was spacious with a lovely en-suite bathroom which has a lovely roll top bath with separate shower cubicle the whole place looked very 50s which was beautiful had no faults with the hotel and the staff were perfectly happy and helpful, if this hotel was in another place id certainly go back and recommend it to family and friends.

Elizabeth

An interesting and excellent quality hotel with character in a central location. Free parking across the road and an easy walk into town. The staff were helpful, professional and friendly. An older, traditional building that has been sympathetically modernized, including a nicely fitted-out bar, used by residents and locals, with discreet background music, a nice selection of local brews and a good atmosphere.
